Exceptional weapons, armor, rings, and necklaces can be purchased for gold so why not common and exceptional mats for lifeforce?
Seems a bit of a disadvantage for defenders even if you don't consider all the other glaring issues with defense crafting(which I won't get into since that is already being discussed elsewhere).

It would allow low level players just coming out of the tutorial stages to build proper defense, and allow older players to put up passable defenses until they can get the rarer stuff to replace their Pox'd monsters.
It would also be consistent with everything else in the loot department.

Thoughts?

Material packs should have a high Life Force cost as well. That's what I've always figured. 500k for the highest pack, scaled down at whatever rate makes sense. Only problem now is that it would flood the game immediately with a lot of materials since everybody is holding on to a lot of LF and there hasn't been a sink for it since the update, but that's better than continuing to have a pox'd castle not making Tombstones and no way to fix it because of the grind loop they stuck everybody in.

Also, side note, there needs to be a way to make a ghost defense to test things without crafting them to get an idea of what you want to make without wasting materials.

Im imagining a pretty high lifeforce cost for commons and exceptionals.
But I don't think any thing rarer should be directly purchasable with lifeforce.
Maybe a crafting mechanic like what is there for gear.
IE: x number of exeptional mats for a legendary mat.

But minus the fraggin' time gate, for both mats and gear.

Already been suggested the second players seen material packs.

But you realize they already sell material packs for blings, How does selling material packs for lifeforce get them more blings sales?

I won't go into how wrong it is to sell mat packs for blings, even tho it is.

But I was suggesting ONLY common and exceptional mats.
If they MUST have mat packs sold for blings then focus on the legendary and epic mats.

Another idea:
Allow the blacksmith to convert gear into mats.

-Gear can't be converted into legendary or epic mats.
-Converted gear has a chance of being the same or lesser rarity mats
-the lesser the rarity of the mat you receive the more you receive
(but received mat count is still low)
IE: common: 1 to 2, exceptional: 0 to 1

Yeah, that was the first thing i was looking for with the new patch, a way to disenchant magic or higher tier gear.
