Hello dear Opulencians,

We are now in Open Beta, and as we’ve stated in our news, this is just the beginning.

There is so much we want to introduce to the game and so much we want to improve that we are going to need you more than ever. The Community is now able to grow much further than before, and ideas and feedback are already more numerous and important in volume than before. As we want to stay as close to our Community as possible in each of our choices and decisions, we have decided to start recruiting Ambassadors.

What is an Ambassador?

An Ambassador is an active Mighty Quest player, both in-game and on our forums or social channels. Ideally, our Ambassador has already provided important feedback and has been helpful toward other players in the Community, and shall vow to continue doing so. Our Ambassadors (for now) must speak English and be able to write it without major spelling or grammatical inaccuracies.

What will be his/her role?

The Ambassador will be given access to a private forum where he/she will be presented regularly with new feature ideas or design choices, on which he/she will be asked to provide feedback. Our aim would be to hold regular Chats between Ambassadors and the Dev Team, as often as weekly if we can make it work. Ambassadors will be able to gather feedback from the Community on current balance/design issues and regularly discuss them in detail with the Devs.

Does that mean Devs will stop participating to the Public forums?

Absolutely not. Everything that is related to what’s live in the game or to upcoming updates will still be discussed with the entire Community on the Public Forums. There are just some topics we would love to discuss more in-depth on with our Ambassadors before presenting them to the rest of the Community.

First round of recruitment.

For this first round of recruitment, anyone on the forums can apply through the following form:

THE FIRST ROUND OF RECRUITMENT IS NOW OVER.

Your forum name, in-game username, and login email are required. We will only contact you by email for Ambassadors’ related matters.

We will review each application and decide on 10 Ambassadors for the first round, that will be chosen based on their activity in-game, their activity on the forums/social channels, and their overall helpfulness and manners up until now.

In the future, we will recruit more Ambassadors using tools that will allow you to vote for your fellow Community members, however we are still limited by our existing platform and therefore wanted to keep it as simple as possible.

You have one week to apply starting now (until Thursday, March 6th at 12pm EST), after which we will announce our first official Ambassadors!

Thanks Opulencians!

Good lucky to everyone applying and may the best ambassadors win. :)

One issue, In the OP is asks for my forum username, But on the survey it asks for me for my Uplay username. And my Uplay username is different to my forum username on the MQEL forums so I put my Uplay username in and (I put in my forum username in brackets like this) I hope that's not a problem.

"overall helpfulness and manners up until now." I suspect this is where a lot of applicants get nixed, myself included, lol. Helpfulness yes, manners... not so much. Least not all the time.

Thanks TicXu, but that won't work. I might be here as player and private person only, but I still work for the company.

Yes, be careful if you apply for it. It is one of those double edged positions that sounds cool and empowering on the surface but puts you in the line of fire as a flack shield for the devs. (And the firing lines are primed and ready) I've done a couple of these types of jobs in the past and it is almost never worth it, especially if it is unpaid. And yes, it is a job, don't think its not. I hope the devs have some nice compensation plans for those they make ambassadors.

Getting paid is not a must if you don't spend as much time on it. Currently there seem to be a ton of threads on the forum poping up about things that already have answers. I doubt they'll expect the ambassadors to reply to all of them.

Seem's making the application form is followed by a survey nonsense, which I don't fancy.

It's good your starting to think about these things (which should have been done way before pre open beta pack). However i hope you don't just pick the people who don't challenge things as much and agree with everything you do.

You need to pick the people with constructive ideas and criticism for the game to improve, and make sure the vast majority of people are happy in the future.

I'm not afraid to say the things people may not want to hear and that's why i think i would be perfect.

Although this doesn't mean much I've been involved in politics and also class rep during my college/uni courses so i can formulate people's ideas and questions into a constructive manner that's easy to digest.

This is something i thought the community managers would have done but it's clear whoever has been formulating things to the Devs, have failed thus far.

I want this game to thrive, and that means striking a balance between the casual and hardcore player that they can enjoy it equally whilst also having a viable Attack/Defence system that's fair yet rewarding for people.
