I would like to ask you folks out there a question. Do you enjoy the 'attacking' part of this game? If so.. why? and how often/how many castles do you attack?

I'm now a lvl 30 hero and castle and have all my stuff maxed out. I did this by attacking Chicken farms for the following reasons:
1- You gather more loot and experience this way. And when using a loot, xp, and resource buff you want a safe, quick castle to grind.
2- There arn't enough other castles offering a reward enticing enough for me to want to attack regular castles at higher levels (I'm talking at least 50k of both resources).
3- High level castles are usually pretty strong and tedious to attack. I dunno... it just doesn't seem worth it to me especially now that I'm maxed out. I need to get something other than crowns and resources for attacking... I had this idea way back yonder (https://www.themightyquest.com/en/forums/general-discussion/topics/ideatogetpeopletoattackagain) and it would tempt me to attack more often than I do currently.
4- I'm competitive and wanted to get my hero and castle to lvl 30 asap. Farms were the best option for this.
5- Castles are worse to attack now than they were 6 months ago. I mean how are Jelly walls with ballista's around it then unavoidable springboards which throw you onto explosive mines any better than chain pulls and scorpio spam. I do like that I can big Boss groups idea because these fights are carnage and give the raider and defender some equal footing. They're also exciting to fight and to watch replays for. Springdeath traps...yeah some are well made but it's pretty much boring as batsh1t to attack into (and the replays...while the first few are satisfying... it gets old fast).

Anyways thanks for reading and taking the time to reply (if you did). Good raiding be with you Mighty Quester's.

Congratulations, you finished the game without playing it. Now you can move on to another game in which you can go to the top w/o any effort and so on.

I personally enjoy attacking player castles. I like the challenge and to discover setups which I didn't think of and then in return use them in my own castle, often modified or improved. The game isn't about getting to 30 but experiencing all sorts of castles and overcoming all the challenges set before you. I often try to beat the defenders time even if it proves fatal because it's fun.

Though I do agree with you, I do get tired of the same castle build over and over again. And than mainly what Warpainter said in his point 5.

Since I don't attack as much I tend to see a lot more diversely built castle these days. Attacking lower level castles also breaks you out of the cycle of the same castle. That is ofc unless you leveled all you heroes to 30 xD.

I do attack player Castle's for a while until I get tired of the same repeat theme over and over. Which is the springboard trap setup and the mass boss room area. I've seen combinations of this which were entertaining the first time I saw them but now I don't even care to try if I see that's what they are using I just exit their Castle and say ooo you got me gg, or something of that nature.

I'm level 20 on 2 of my Hero's I would say 50/50 from player Castle's and NPC Castle's. I'm the same as Warpainter when I use a boost I don't go into player Castle's because I don't want to waste the timer down. And a lot of times player Castle's hardly have any creature's for you to get loot from.

VEDEN to say I've finished the game without playing it doesn't work for me mate. I've been attacking players and redesigning castles in this game for over 9 months now, that's how much I support this game and want it to succeed.
And it took a lot of effort to grind away for days to get my hero lvl, my castle lvl and a decent set of gear back which was wiped when the game went Open Beta. I attack players castles now on all levels with different level heroes and I worry because attacking feels more tedious and uninteresting than in other patches.
That's why I made this post to get some more feedback on attacking and idea's flowing to improve this area of the game.

It seems to me that currently the final gear the the one defining factor whether someone can beat a certain castle or not. I'm noticing good people with good gear just plowing though every castle in their way (like myself at lv30) and some with questionable skill level just surviving by the sheer power of the gear they farmed in the farms. I think that maybe more stats should be given to the heroes and all the gear should be nerfed overall. Currently the confusion mechanic is the main thing that's breaking the balance. It's so strong that everyone just gathers confusion gear.

Imo if the overall power of the characters gets reduced as well as the confusion mechanic the game will once again become challenging. (OFC the extremely buggy ticket system and monster AI needs to be upgraded.)

Right now i'm a level 26 mage and since i was level 17(i think) all castles(except a few) i raided were either jelly>spring>mass mines or everything and everyone packed in the boss room. It's no fun for me anymore.I have barely any motivation left to attack player castles because it's the same thing over and over again .The devs promised some nice customization features with creature crafting and stuff but since that's not here atm i myself am geting bored by the moment of this game. It's a shame,it had potential.
tl;dr No!

Hopefully the new stuff will come soon. Right now though the devs have a lot of bugs to fix.
