And as for the drops, I've always said that the Mage and Knight seem to have a better drop rate than the Archer.

Have you tried both? I know you don't enjoy playing with neither the Mage nor the Knight, but....

delvene, I'm a runaway too. What's you build? Could you post a screenshot of your stats here? I would also be happy to watch some replays of yours, if you happen to have any. Feel free to attack my castle at atr577, though you might find it a bit typical and outdated.
I think a dialogue between Runaway players would greatly facilitate the process of her development as an enjoyable character; sadly there are up to no other Runaways to talk to, you are actually the 1st Runaway of lvl 30 I meet.


In Soviet Russia the spike trap fails to dodge the Runaway.

All because of the awesome bear they gave her.

Neo- I don't think you have an optimistic or constructive view here (but I can understand many people were let down by the dev since I can find Runaway whining thread long ago), if nerfing others is the way to "buff" a poor one, it simply won't work, all fun is lost and this game will die.

Maybe I should elaborate why Runaway's attack skill suck, hope the dev know this already, or they don't care.

True all four Class have large AOE attack, however:

Mage's Vortex is instant, easy manage and can combine with fireball/thunderclap
Archer's Volley is instant, high dmg and long range, can be combined with bear trap very effectively
Knight's King slash is instant, plus he got Flaming coat just walk around

What Runaway get? a pathetic Polytechnics need to be CHARGED - so it supposed to be used amid mobs, but impractical - your charge will be disrupted most of times or most mobs will RUNAWAY (ironically) while you are charging. (there is no mob control skill like Vortex for Runaway)

Who would not rather use Fighter's King slash or Mage's Thunderclap??

The other "high dmg" skill like Shred is also pathetic, even you launched 13 bursts and all hit, the total damage is nothing great compared to Deathbolt or Headshot or Smite. not to mention Shred has extremely short range

The ONLY attack skill I would call useful is Headbang, but that's it!

  • Sping Sping suger does little damage and is pointless
  • Push is ok, but very SHORT range and have a small spread
  • Dancing blade looks cool but extremely hard to pull off perfectly and not doing much damage unless you are in a CHICKEN farm penetrating more than 20 enemies

Most of the skills only work well at LOW LEVEL, in high level castles the mobs will make most of them useless.

Some improvement can be easy, if the Dev want to make Runaway's skill LINEAR, for example, make skills like Shred like a powerful high speed penetrating shot hitting everything in it's path, or give it a wide forward penetrating-spread at medium range, that's what I call fair and "in line"

Also don't forget, people pay for this character after looking at "fancy promoting video", but ultimately find her painful to use at higher level. I'm happy to play my Mage/Archer, but Let her sit collecting dust is just a waste of $$$

add a skill to run fast during some second like "Captain Falcon" or a "berserker mode"?:p
